The meeting had an important role in founding the Bridge of Hope NGO. She suggested that the parents and I should think of carrying out more organized activities, found an organization that would deal with the protection of rights of children with disabilities and support their integration in the society from early age. After several months, on December 2, we founded Bridge of Hope NGO.It started its activity immediately after the foundation, with support from OXFAM. Our education center was then at Nairi hotel where we had rented small premises and were working with 45 children. That unsightly and tiny center, however, became the warmest corner for children and their parents. It was here that our hopes, expectations and, of course, our faith in our mission were born and later came true. It was here that the NGO was established and later became a real bridge of hope for thousands of children and families.
Today Bridge of Hope has wonderful and comfortable centers in Yerevan and Tavush province where our vision and the mission, born in our souls and minds many years ago, come true getting new quality and giving rise to new ideas.
I am grateful to all children and their parents who believe and trust us and together with us build bridges for many others. But there still are too many children beyond that bridge. I am thankful also to the organizations and persons that helped us become a bridge of hope for thousands of children and families.
